Devesh Ramchandani is an Investment Committee Member and Business Development Team Member. Additionally, Devesh serves as Associate Director – Investments overseeing all investments for North America for the investment arm of the Times Group, known as Brand Capital International. In his role at Brand Capital International, Devesh has overseen the investments into 6 companies with a total deal value of $22 million across FinTech, E-commerce, B2B SaaS, and Travel sectors. He also leads the Business Development team, overseeing all aspects of investment transactions including sourcing, due diligence, strategic analysis, financial analysis and modelling, competitive analysis, deal structuring, and deal documentation & legal review, and Investment Committee presentations. Prior to this role he served as New Business Initiatives Manager for Times Group North America, where he helped identify and implement new businesses for the company in the US.
Prior to joining Brand Capital International, Devesh was part of Prudential Financial (NYSE: PRU) where he had several roles across his 8-year tenure at the company. He was responsible for developing and managing the day-to-day relationship for 7 of Prudential’s 40 key financial services and technology strategic partnerships as part of the Prudential Client Management team. He also was accountable to the Office of the CEO for prepping the CEO and other Executives prior to their meetings with their counterparts at partner firms by summarizing public and internal business data. Prior to this role Devesh worked in Prudential’s Internal Management Consulting arm working on cross-Enterprise projects dealing with liquidity (governance and stress testing), legal (enterprise application rollout), compliance (FRB Resolution Planning and Examinations), IT (Risk Management) and other strategic initiatives.
Devesh has also worked in Kotak Mahindra Bank’s Wealth Management division supporting in mutual fund performance analysis.
Devesh has an MBA and a BS in Finance from Rutgers Business School. He also served as a Braven Leadership Coach and student mentor for students at Rutgers University.
